PRIVATE LESSONS
Private music lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each student. At Hawk Music Academy, it is our goal to develop well-rounded musicians who appreciate the musical arts. We offer the following private lessons:
Enrollment for private lessons is open year-round. Private lessons are available in 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions throughout the year. Beginner students are recommended to start with 30 minute weekly lessons, with 45 and 60 minute lessons recommended for intermediate through advanced students.
A set day and time is scheduled for each student, based on the student's and teacher's availability. Students are expected to attend their lessons weekly August through May, excluding Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks. Lessons during the summer months of June and July are more flexible where students pay for the number of lessons they take.
Students receive instruction based on their specific needs, whether it is learning pop music for fun or preparing for competitions and auditions. We understand that each student is unique and structure the lessons and goals for each individual. Students are exposed to a wide variety of musical styles and are free to choose music to work on, including classical, pop, jazz, contemporary and more. Students learn how to play their instrument, while also receiving instruction in sight-reading, ear training, and music theory.
