Shanna Blackburn is a life-long musician who began teaching herself how to play piano at a very young age. She went on to play clarinet throughout her high school and college career. Upon graduating high school, she enrolled in Ohio University, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Music with a minor in Clarinet Performance. She has worked for 10 years in the field of music therapy, where she taught lessons to children and adults of all ages and abilities. She is proficient in guitar, piano, ukulele, and theory. She is looking forward to continuing her teaching career at HMA! 


In her free time, you will find Shanna hiking in the mountains with her husband and dog, cooking, reading, drawing, writing, running, and swimming.
