Siyu believes a good teaching philosophy should include the cultivation of a love and appreciation of music. Music gives students important knowledge that supports their learning of all other subjects such as math, science and even athletics. It also opens the creative part of their minds which is so important in the areas of problem solving and self-expression. Therefore, learning music helps students understand principles that can be applied everywhere in life. Any instrument but especially the piano will help them improve their ability to understand and communicate.
