Emily Adams is a coloratura soprano originally from South Louisiana and is a graduate of Northwestern State University ’17 and Georgia State University ’23 with a Bachelors and Masters in Voice Performance. Emily has lent her voice to chamber choral ensembles in Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Italy, and Poland as well as the US, but her heart lies in operatic classical singing and diction. Emily has performed numerous roles in her short time, such as The Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Konstanze (The Abduction from the Seraglio), La Contessa (The Marriage of Figaro), and many more! When she is not rehearsing for an upcoming role or program, she is running her own private voice studio out of her apartment as well as teaching in Middle and High Schools around the Atlanta-Metro- and now, HMA! Ms. Adams is trained to teach Italian, Russian, German, Spanish, and French diction as well as laryngeal-freeing vocal techniques for all ages and levels.
Emily comes from a musically inclined family, her mother being a performer and trained mezzo-soprano as well as her father being a band director and film composer. She began her start in musical theatre and has been the music director for children’s musicals such as the Junior versions of Beauty and the Beast, Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, and the full-length Shrek the Musical as well as the conductor for these ensembles. In her free time, she loves to cook, watch Disney movies, drink coffee, and spend time with her family and pets.
