Sally Walsh graduated with a BA in Vocal Performance from Western Carolina University in 1995. During college, Sally was chosen for a study abroad program in Salzburg, Austria focusing on Mozart opera and German art song. She began her teaching career upon graduation and has been teaching for over 25 years in various settings and is also a licensed Kindermusik instructor.
Sally grew up in a musical family, and she and her siblings were all required to play at least one instrument. As a result, she now plays piano, violin, cello, guitar, and ukulele.
Sally is a former member of several professional singing groups, including Atlanta Opera Chorus, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and Like the Dickens Carolers. She has also performed in several past shows with Atlanta Lyric Theatre. She is a cellist in the Symphony Orchestra of North Georgia (SONG), and the Lilburn Christian Church orchestra, where she is also a featured vocalist.
Sally loves teaching piano, voice, violin, ukulele, guitar, and music theory at HMA.
