SALLY WALSH

Sally Walsh graduated in 1995 from Western Carolina University with a BA in Vocal Performance. During college, Sally was chosen for a study abroad program in Salzburg, Austria to study Mozart opera and German lieder, where she gained cultural and musical knowledge as well as valuable performance experience. Upon graduation in 1995, Sally began her teaching career. 

 

Sally grew up in a musical family, and she and her 2 older brothers were all required to play at least one instrument. As a result, she now plays piano, violin, cello, guitar, and ukulele. Sally is a former member of several professional singing groups, including Atlanta Opera Chorus, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, and Like the Dickens Carolers. She has also performed in several past shows with Atlanta Lyric Theatre. Sally is a cellist in the Symphony Orchestra of North Georgia (SONG), and the Lilburn Christian Church orchestra, where she is also a featured vocalist. 

 

Sally loves working with young children and has over 20 years of experience teaching music to children under 4 years of age. Sally has created music programs for several preschools and daycares and is the lead teacher and designer of HMA’s Toddler Tunes program. 

 

Sally teaches voice, piano, ukulele, violin, guitar, music theory, and Toddler Tunes at HMA.
