June 10-13

Wellness Camp for the Whole Musician

(A variation of our former Chamber & Composition Camp)

for 7th graders through recently graduated high school seniors

 

This will be our first-ever overnight camp at Kaluna Farm Retreat in Talking Rock! Students will have classes and lodging in The Wooden Yurt and Bamboo Roost with the Hawks and other HMA Faculty. The purpose of this camp is to learn about the whole, healthy musician - It's not just about how much you practice! Besides rehearsing with other students and composing, we will also discuss mental and physical health, enjoy yoga, hikes, singing by the fire, eating farm fresh meals and more!

 

$50 Registration Fee ($30 applied to tuition), $300 Tuition

Music Explorers Camp, Part 1

For ages 5-9 beginners

​

​Students will explore the different instruments we offer at HMA, including piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, cello and bass. Activities include music theory games, music history, rhythm exercises and more!

 

Half Day: 9:00am-12:00pm or 12:30-3:30pm

$20 Registration Fee, $145 Tuition

Music Explorers Camp, Part 2

For ages 5-9 students who have taken Part 1 or have previous music lessons/classes experience.

Ukulele & Guitar Camp

For ages K-12 with at least one year of previous music lessons/classes experience. Yes, if you play another instrument, you can try this camp! Students will be divided into groups according to ages and levels.

All-But-Classical Camp

For 3rd-12th grade students at intermediate through advanced levels.

Students will be divided into groups and separated into rock bands and other ensembles to play jazz, bluegrass, pop, rock, movie music and more!
